Jonesborough, Tennessee

Jonesborough is the oldest town in Tennessee. Established 17 years before

becoming the sixteenth state. The town had 5,860 residents as of the 2020

census. Their Historic District is on the National Register of Historic Places.

Located in the northeast corner of Tennessee near Johnson City and

Bristol. In my opinion Jonesborough is one the prettiest towns in the U.S.

Jonesborough is home of the International Storytelling Center. The town hosts the National Storytelling Festival October 6-8, 2023. It is the super-

bowl of storytelling www.storytellingcenter.net

If you can attend, The Jonesborough Visitors Center, 117 Boone Street has

all my books in the Westward Sagas series. Adam’s Daughters book 2 is

about the founding of Jonesborough. The historic Chester Inn, established

in 1797, is on its cover. My four great grandmother Rebeckah is the young

girl in the back of the wagon on Main Street in Jonesborough.
